HIGHLIGHTS

  • FREELANCE WRITING HIGHLIGHTS

     I was thrilled to interview music icons Johnny Mathis and Neil Sedaka in 2005, for full-page Q&As in an entertainment magazine.

     My big-name concert reviews include Patti LaBelle, B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland, Kenny Loggins, Peter Noone aka Herman's Hermits, Polish songbird Basia, Joan Rivers and The Smothers Brothers.

    I recently wrote a comedy column featuring comedian interviews.

    I authored an edgy dating column a few years ago - great fun for this long-time divorcée who's been-there-done-that!

    I have interviewed and written about world-renowned composer Ervin Drake (It Was A Very Good Year - Quando, Quando, Quando - I Believe - Good Morning Heartache) and renowned jazz photographer William P. Gottlieb (U.S. stamp portrait of jazz great Billie Holiday and the producer of a fabulous annual calendar featuring photos of famous jazz stars).

    Since 2000, I have been ghost-writing a monthly Rock ’N’ Roll column for a local radio DJ/oldies show producer, which entails online research on the big names in 1950-60s music.

    Since 1998, I have been producing, scripting and hosting my own live weekly singles/relationship theme radio show - "Long Island's Dating" - broadcast worldwide over the Internet. Over the years, I have interviewed hundreds of authors and experts who comprise a substantial resource base for articles I want to write. Please visit Bonnie Radio for a list of guest authors on my radio series.

  • SUBJECTS I WRITE ABOUT

    •  My eclectic background, diverse interests and stage of life position me to write on these subjects:

    * * * Dating/singles/relationships/romance/sexuality for our middle-age population - with insights and quotes available from hundreds of authors I have interviewed on my radio series

    * * * Since 2004, I have been researching material for my upcoming book, "So You Wanna Be - What Women Dream About Becoming." To date, I have received over 70 responses to my questionnaire from women 16-86 around the country, plus replies from third grade girls. I also designed and published a "So You Wanna Be - Empowering Women's Dreams" calendar featuring 16 of these women's stories, with my own photoart and graphic design. My goal is to find a publisher to produce the calendar annually and package it as a bonus with my book. Interested?

    * * *  Extraordinary seniors age 65+ and their amazingly active, interesting lives

    * * *  Young grandparents' (age 45+)

    * * *  With the first wave of Baby Boomers turning 60 this year (yikes!), I can write about the emerging BOOMERS-TO-SENIORS market - interests, tastes, values, evolving lifestyles, relationship issues, housing preferences, workplace issues, retirement issues and more

    * * * Celebrity interviews

    * * * Concert reviews

    * * *  Much more - Please tell me what you need and let's see if I can deliver the story!
